By accessing this website (gua-sha.ca) or booking a session with Emma's Gua Sha, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website or our services.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.

2. About Our Services

Emma's Gua Sha provides professional gua sha wellness sessions in Metro Vancouver, BC, Canada. Services are offered as wellness and relaxation experiences rooted in the Li Shi Bian Method tradition.

Important: Gua sha services provided by Emma's Gua Sha are wellness services only. They do not constitute medical treatment, diagnosis, or advice. If you have a medical condition, please consult a licensed healthcare professional before booking a session.

3. Booking and Appointments

All bookings are made through our booking system at booking.gua-sha.ca. By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.

• Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of confirmation from Emma's Gua Sha.
• You are responsible for providing accurate contact and health information at the time of booking.
• Emma reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking if, in her professional judgment, a session is not appropriate or safe.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

In the unlikely event that Emma must cancel a session, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no charge.

5. Client Responsibilities

By booking a session, you confirm that:

• You are 18 years of age or older, or have obtained parental/guardian consent.
• You have disclosed any known health conditions, medications, or contraindications that may affect the safety of your session.
• You understand that gua sha may cause temporary redness or marks on the skin (sha), which typically fade within a few days. This is a normal part of the practice.
• You will inform Emma if you experience any discomfort during the session.

6. Contraindications

Gua sha is not suitable for all individuals. You should not book a session if you:

• Have open wounds, sunburn, rash, or skin infections in the area to be treated
• Are taking blood-thinning medication (unless cleared by your physician)
• Have a bleeding disorder
• Are pregnant (please consult your healthcare provider first)
• Have had recent surgery in the area to be treated

Emma reserves the right to refuse or stop a session if she determines that proceeding would not be safe.

7. Limitation of Liability

Emma's Gua Sha provides wellness services in good faith and with professional care. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website.
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the session in question.
• We make no medical claims about the outcomes of gua sha practice.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, and design — is the property of Emma's Gua Sha or its content providers and is protected by applicable copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without prior written permission.
